ADHD Friendly School Award
BackThe school has been awarded the prestigious ADHD Friendly School Award by the ADHD Foundation for our work with children with ADHD and other neurodevelopmental conditions. Feedback from the ADHD Foundation states that “Great Oaks actively explores and celebrates neurodiversity with all pupils in the school through assemblies, displays and through their engagement with the ADHD Foundation’s Umbrella project. Through showcasing the positives of ADHD and other conditions and celebrating the work of successful people with ADHD, Great Oaks School is teaching their children that neurodiversity is something to be welcomed”.
Colin Foley, the Training Director of the ADHD Foundation said, “We are delighted that the work of Great Oaks School is being recognised through this award. They have been a pleasure to work with and a joy to see the environment that they have created for their children with ADHD. An environment that emphasises both calm but also success and achievement. Well done to everyone involved.”
